Fall Follow-Up!

Instead of doing a bunch of little posts, I decided to just write one big one and post pics from all of our Fall activities!
This year, my hubby celebrated a "milestone" birthday!
Shhh...I can't tell you which one!
The boys and I picked out this Detroit Lions timeline banner with all of the different emblem/logos from years past.
We thought it was a pretty cool gift and I think "dad" liked it too!

We had some friends over for his birthday.
We ordered pizza for the "kids" and we "grown-ups" went out to Red Lobster for dinner!
I made a chocolate cake with homemade chocolate buttercream icing!

Oreo (kitty) is doing well.
He's as cute and silly as ever.
The other day he discovered that the bottom of the exersaucer made a nice "hide-out".

Peek-a-boo!
I see you!

As always, we did jack-o-lanterns the week of Halloween.
This kitty cat is Nate's.
He did ALL of the carving himself!

This spooky guy is Evan's!
Nice!

Evan did this one as well.
He went to a pumpkin carving party at a friend's house...so he had an extra pumpkin.

Halloween night!
Nate wore last year's costume.
He was a Jawa from Star Wars.
Pretty cool!

Jamie threw on a mask last minute too.
He always has "trick-or-treat" duty.
I get candy duty at the house.

Here you'll see all of our jack-o-lanterns from above...
PLUS...one more little guy!
Nate carved this one at Art Club!

Evan stayed home this year to hand out candy with me...and played with kitty, LOL!
It was a first.
He usually does something with friends, but he just chose to hang out with dear old mom this year.
He treated almost all of the kids!
I think he enjoyed handing out candy!

The lighting of the jack-o-lanterns!

The loot!
Good job Nate!

This fall also brought the "Launch Party" at Nate's middle school.
He went to that and had a great time.
Lots of games, activities, and food.
A great introduction and fun way to start middle school!

We also went to the yearly PumpkinFest Parade.
Evan had to march with the band.
There he is!
Far right!

Our high school football team went to the playoffs this year!
That was exciting.
We wore our Chix gear in support.
They lost their first game, but good job anyways guys!

A close-up of some of the things Nate's been working on at Art Club.

Kitty and I napping...

Evan and kitty snuggling...

The boys got their school pictures back.
I thought they turned out ok.
At least for "school pics".

More kitty pics...

My "I voted" sticker from election day!
Well...I think that about wraps up our Fall!
We are looking forward to Thanksgiving week!
Just before the holiday, we are going to Mall of America in MN.
We are super excited about that.
We are also excited because our friend will be coming to the house while we're gone to install our new tile in the master bathroom!
Woohoo!
Thanksgiving will be fun as "grandma and grandpa" will be coming to our house this year for dinner!
We hope you all had a fabulous Fall as well!
Take care!
Until next time...

  1. Our cats could be siblings. My Sushi looks like your kitty would if he / she gained 5 pounds.

    Happy Fall!
